This expanded edition of The Truth About Yugoslavia examines the imperialist military intervention in the 1990s, aimed at reimposing capitalist relations and strengthening Washington as a “European power.” That intervention set off the “ethnic cleansing” and carnage in the Balkans. Includes articles from the socialist newsweekly the Militant, as well as background discussions in 1932 between Leon Trotsky and Greek Left Oppositionists on the national question and Macedonia, the 1920 resolution of the Balkan Communist Federation, and the 1939 article by Greek communist leader Pantelis Pouliopoulos, “War and the National Question in the Balkans.”
