A seven-city speaking tour in Cuba to celebrate the publication of Nuestra historia aún se está escribiendo received widespread coverage in the Cuban press. Mary-Alice Waters, the editor of the book, spoke at each of the meetings along with one or more of the authors, Moisés Sío Wong, Gustavo Chui, and Armando Choy.

Stops on the tour included Ciego de Ávila, Holguín, Bayamo, Santiago de Cuba, two meetings in Villa Clara province — in Corralillo and Quemado de Güines — and a final meeting in Havana on October 24.
