Pathfinder Press at Association of Asian Studies Conference 2024

Seattle, WA—Over 3,200 professors and students from throughout the world attended the Association for Asian Studies annual conference in Seattle, Washington March 14-17, 2024. Along with keynote addresses attended by hundreds, there were over 400 panel presentations, with topics ranging from “New Perspectives on the Indonesian Left, the 1965-66 Violence, and Suharto-Era Anti-communism” to “The Contours of China’s Economic Influence” to “The Korean Peninsula through the Jewish Experience.”

Pathfinder Press was one of 70 exhibitors at the conference. The top seller at the booth was Our History is Still Being Written: The Story of Three Chinese Cuban Generals in the Cuban Revolution in English, Spanish, and Mandarin. A large poster of the cover of Che Guevara on Economics and Politics in the Transition to Socialism drew attention to Pathfinder’s newest title. Titles like The Jewish Question: A Marxist Interpretation, books on the fight for women’s emancipation, and books in Spanish were of noticeable interest to the scores of participants who visited the booth.

Visitors from Australia, Canada, Chile, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Philippines, Taiwan, UK, and US signed up for more information about Pathfinder Press or a visit from a Pathfinder Press sales volunteer.
