PATHFINDER PRESS AT FÊTE DE L'HUMANITÉ, FRANCE

Pathfinder Press distributors in France enjoyed record sales at the annual Fête de l’Humanité Sept.10-12, 2021 in La Courneuve, a working-class suburb outside Paris, despite the event being only one third its usual size due to Covid restrictions.

The Fête is a traditional and popular event. Along with concerts, political debates, food, and drink, a large tent features a wide variety of publishers.

Pathfinder supporters sold more than 200 books including 33 copies of the newly published French edition of The Jewish Question: A Marxist Interpretation by Abram Leon. Other best-sellers were French editions of Thomas Sankara Speaks and Malcolm X, Black Liberation, and the Road to Workers Power.

Many of the Fête participants passing by the stand picked up The Jewish Question. Several of those buying it explained they wanted to ‘arm’ themselves ‘about anti-Semitism.’
