WOMEN'S TITLES POPULAR AT BROOKLYN BOOK FAIR

At New York's Brooklyn Book Fair October 3, 2021, “There was wide-ranging discussion on everything of interest to the working class,” according to Pathfinder volunteers at the booth, “from why backing the Democratic and Republican parties is a dead end; to today’s union struggles; the origins of women’s oppression and how to end it; and the example set by Cuba’s socialist revolution.”

The large attractive display of Pathfinder Press books became a center of political discussion at the fair. There was also real interest in the fight for a woman’s right to be able to choose abortion and against the draconian new anti-abortion law in Texas. Titles on women’s rights sold out quickly.

The Jewish Question by Abram Leon which describes the class roots of anti-Semitism and explains why there is no solution to the Jewish question under capitalism sparked interest among visitors to the booth.
