Fête de l’Humanité 2023 Attracts Youth and Unionists
Paris, France—The Pathfinder Press booth at the Fête de l’Humanité Sept. 15-17, 2023, 25 miles south of Paris, attracted young people interested in building unions at their workplaces. The discussions with unionists resulted in increased sales of Teamster Rebellion and The Low Point of Labor Resistance Is Behind Us.

The Village du livre (The Book Village) at the event attracted large numbers of youthful participants. One visitor bought Thomas Sankara Speaks saying her family was from the Ivory Coast and was “always curious about him.”

Pathfinder volunteers participated in a meeting organized by the Cuba Coopération Association. This organization translated Red Zone: Cuba and the Battle Against Ebola in West Africa by Enrique Ubieta into French.

Contact was made with Lire c’est Vivre (Reading is Living), a group of volunteers who work with libraries in the Fleury-Mérogis prison and were interested in Voices from Prison, the story of five Cubans who were framed up by the US government and served long sentences in US prisons.
