Pathfinder Press in France
Brétigny-sur-Orge, France—Several hundred thousand people attended the recent Fête de l’Humanité here, 20 miles south of Paris, Sept. 12–14. This annual event is organized by the daily newspaper of the French Communist Party, l’Humanité.
Pathfinder Press volunteers from the UK, Canada, and France staffed a booth in the Village du livre along with dozens of other publishers’ booths in the heart of the Fête, selling dozens of books. Best-sellers included books by the West African revolutionary leader Thomas Sankara, Socialism and Man by Che Guevara, The Jewish Question, by Abram Leon, Cosmetics, Fashion, and the Exploitation of Women, and The Fight against Jew-Hatred in the Imperialist Epoch.
